A Cozy Reading Corner
How it’s almost February, I have no idea! After the craziness of the holidays, January has been full of decluttering the house & adding simple touches to every area throughout our home. I don’t talk about it much but I have anxiety, so having a lot of stuff around the house tends to get to me very easily. I crave simplicity & I decided to do just that to my favorite cozy corner in the living room.
During the evenings, this space is still a favorite of mine because the sun pours in through our large windows & it makes the space feel even cozier. I love pillows & used two of my favorites, the front one [here] is made by my friend, Bianca from With Lavender & Grace. A couple of floor pillows I got from the Hearth & Hand line at Target [here] & most of the other pieces are antique finds. During the summer time I like to sit here & drink coffee while watching the goats & donkeys play out in the pasture.
Since majority of the winter has been freezing, I added some greenery in a seagrass basket to add greens to this corner. I tried to hold off on the greens until we got closer to spring but I couldn’t resist. Touches of eucalyptus are carried out in each room because it’s one of my favorite greens & works perfectly this time of year or anytime really. I’m sure I’ll keep adding greenery everywhere because once I start decorating with it, I can’t stop. What do you think of our cozy reading corner?
