Burlap Candy Cane Wreath

Hi everyone! I’m getting so antsy with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, how about all of you? It’s so fun getting everything decorated for holidays! I love wreaths and I’ve decided to make a few for Christmas, my first one being the Christmas ornament wreath, now this candy cane wreath and I already have another one in mind…can’t wait!

I saw this at the Dollar Tree, where I get everything it seems. I wasn’t to fond of how it was and seen the potential of what it could be, in my basket it went!
I took off the greenery just by pulling it off and got to it.

At first I was just going to wrap the burlap around the form with the garland still on and then realized how easy it was to take off. I took off the garland that was on the candy cane form by unwrapping it, it was super easy to do.

I had burlap garland that I had used for other projects and figured it would work well with this project and it did! I cut random sized pieces and wrapped it around the form and then super glued it down.

I did this for the whole form. Let me just tell you, super glue is not my friend. There was tons of “ouch” moments in the making of this wreath.
It took me about a yard and a half to cover the form.

I used twine to wrap around the form to make it look more candy cane-ish.

I liked the greenery so I went ahead and used it again. I also cut off a part of the red garland and wrapped around the middle part.

I like it so much better than how it originally was and it was only a dollar! Score!
Thanks for stopping by!
